FREE COMMUNITY MEDITATION 

EVERY SATURDAY

9AM - 10AM EST

Community Meditation is a free and non-denominational group that is intended to offer basic mindfulness meditation techniques to practitioners of all levels.

​

Whether you are brand new to meditation or are an experienced meditator, this group is for you.

​

Mindfulness has been defined by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn, the pioneer of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, as

 

"paying attention, on purpose, in the present moment, non-judgmentally".

​

The structure of this hour long practice is broken down into three segments.

 

  • The first 15-minutes are guided, which may include mindful breathing, gentle movement, or another mindfulness exercise.

 

  • Next, we will transition into a 30-minute silent meditation practice.

 

  • Finally, the session is concluded with 15-minutes of what we lovingly call "chatting practice," to share about our experience and what may have come up for us during the previous practices.
