Integrated Healing for the 4 Parts of Self

Updated: Feb 4, 2023

Prefer to listen to today's blog post? You can do that HERE.

I wanted to share with you today one of the key reasons why I find that a holistic approach to healing is necessary for true, deep healing of your body, mind, heart and spirit.

So often I feel I have worked with individuals that come to me and are saying things like:

  • I feel like I've worked through this.

  • I've done a lot of work around my "Mommy issues" or "Daddy issues," but I still struggle with these relationships.

  • I thought I healed through this trauma

  • I thought I'd navigated through this childhood experience.

  • I thought I overcame these patterns but I still find myself in the relationships where I'm repeating these patterns and engaging in particular behaviors that honestly feel out of integrity with the life I'm wanting to create.

It's really important to remember that the work you've already done is very important. It's not that the work that you've done is invalid or unimportant. It simply may be that it's incomplete. And it doesn't mean that it's less than or a waste of time. It simply means that there's deeper layers of this work to be peeled back.

A very classic example is...

Healing is like an onion. You peel it back layer by layer.

And one of the key aspects in Rising Strong™ Through the Chakras and my overall work is that we approach healing in the integrated and holistic way.

We explore our body, mind, heart and spirit.

  • What are those repeated patterns of thought or beliefs that you notice?

  • What are the different emotional charges of your heart?

  • What experience in your nervous system is present for you right now?

  • What are you aware of in your nervous system?

  • What is the quality of your breath? That spirited aliveness that connects you to all living and breathing beings.

In Rising Strong™ Through the Chakras, we focus on:

  1. Practices of the mind by engaging in different meditation practices.

  2. Practices of the body by engaging in different mindful movement, or Yoga practices.

  3. Practices of the spirit, by engaging in breathwork practices, helping us move through and navigate what may be stuck in our nervous system and body.

  4. Practices of the heart by engaging in lots of different journal prompts and opportunities to reflect on the various emotions and relationships that are associated with each chakra.

And so, throughout this program, we are guided through the different relationships, the different emotions of each chakra. Then we're applying those practices of breath, of movement, of meditation, of inward reflection for each of these different relationships of the chakra.

The intention is to provide you with various mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual practices so that you can have the resilience required to navigate the ebbs and flows present in your daily life.

I wanted to create a program for you so that you don't need other healing programs.

RSTC provides you a toolbox that you can turn to at any time when life is inevitably going to throw you curveballs... things are going to happen and you are going to stumble and you are going to fall. That's the physics of vulnerability Brené talks about.

The physics of vulnerability tells us that when you show up in your life wholeheartedly, you're going to fall. It's not about IF you fall, but rather WHEN you fall.

When you show up courageously, when you enter this arena of life, there are absolutely going to be face-down moments and that's okay because that is...

the art and practice of simply b e i n g h u m a n.

The question is, how do we rise from our falls with grace, with resilience, and with wholeheartedness so that we truly can live with radical integrity and compassionate curiosity as we explore the different ways to regulate our nervous system?

I hope that this invitation of exploring the four parts of you - your body, mind, heart, and spirit - inspires your wholehearted and integrated healing.

May this work get in your bones and so that you may take it into your daily life, into your relationships, into your every breath, throughout the rest of your days.

The next incarnation of Rising Strong™ Through the Chakras: How to Transform Trauma and Create a Life of Inner Freedom in 90 Days starts on August 10th.

I would love to share this work with you!

Please reach out if you have any questions. I look forward to seeing you all soon.

Wholeheartedly,
